About the position

The Business Development Sales Lead (BDL) at EssilorLuxottica is responsible for driving growth in the channel by working directly with accounts and local synergy teams. The role focuses on achieving top line growth and sales goals through increasing EL360 compliance and signing new customer contracts. The BDL will support Vision Source customers and Diamond Plus accounts, demonstrating the company's value proposition and developing tailored action plans to ensure compliance with EL360 program parameters.

Responsibilities

  • Drive growth in the channel by working directly with accounts and local synergy teams.
  • Focus on top line growth and sales goals by increasing EL360 compliance and signing new customer contracts.
  • Support Vision Source customers and Diamond Plus accounts with EL360.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews to ensure account compliance and identify sales opportunities.
  • Assist Diamond Plus accounts in achieving growth milestones for loyalty rewards eligibility.
  • Collaborate with local sales teams to pass leads and close sales opportunities identified during reviews.
  • Generate leads by enrolling new doors onto the EL360 contract.
  • Act as the lead point of contact for EL360 matters within local synergy.
  • Meet regularly with local sales teams to brainstorm new opportunities and align on priorities.
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions for existing EL360 and Diamond Plus accounts.
  • Utilize competitive knowledge of the independent channel to recommend market share opportunities.
  • Attend local and national events, which may require evening or weekend work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales/Business Management or similar field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in account management or a similar role in the optical industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in providing formal business reviews.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for effective interaction and negotiation.
  • Strong initiative and sense of urgency.
  • Ability to generate creative solutions to problems quickly.
  • Collaborative mindset to work across multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
