About the position

As a Business Development Sales Rep - Rental Power at Foley Equipment, you will play a crucial role in creating, growing, and maintaining relationships with our valued customers while strategically expanding our market share. This position requires a motivated and results-driven individual who excels at building and maintaining customer relationships. You will be responsible for managing and maximizing sales opportunities through direct customer interaction, ensuring that you deliver industry-leading customer service to guarantee customer satisfaction and loyalty. In this role, you will analyze customer needs and provide expert guidance on equipment selection, helping customers identify specifications regarding equipment to meet their unique requirements. You will also consult with customers to answer inquiries and resolve any concerns they may have. Effective management of the customer relationship management (CRM) software will be essential to track and nurture customer interactions. This position involves extensive travel, requiring you to be on the road more than 50% of the time, which is critical for building relationships and closing sales in various job sites. We are looking for someone with a good attitude, a sense of urgency, and a strong customer service orientation. You should be organized, resilient, and courageous enough to cold call on job sites and seize sales opportunities. The ideal candidate will have the ability to quickly establish rapport with customers and build long-term relationships based on trust and mutual benefit, along with excellent customer service skills that enable engaging conversations with clients.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
  • Previous experience in outside sales, demonstrating a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in written form, enabling effective interaction with customers.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to initiate engaging conversations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous rental sales experience, especially in the construction and industrial industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction and industrial industries, including equipment and various phases of job sites.
  • Previous sales experience in power generation or compressed air.
