About the position

The Business Development Sales Representative at Nolan Transportation Group (NTG) plays a crucial role in connecting shippers with reliable carriers, negotiating rates, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. This dynamic position requires a proactive approach to generating new business opportunities and providing exceptional service to clients, all while thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Research leads and cold call potential clients to persuade them to utilize NTG's services.
  • Utilize creative methods to prospect and generate new business opportunities.
  • Provide high levels of service through consistent communication to support daily operational needs of customers.
  • Participate in sales training and continuous education to become a subject matter expert in NTG's offerings and industry trends.
  • Meet or exceed established production metrics.
  • Collaborate with coworkers in a team-oriented environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • Full-time availability, 100% in-office work.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prior sales experience preferred or a passion for inside sales.
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Efficient time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize competing needs.
  • Strong negotiation skills, confidence, and persuasiveness.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and establish rapport with clients, peers, and leaders.
  • Proactive decision-making and problem-solving skills.
