About the position

The Business Development Sales Representative at Nolan Transportation Group is a dynamic role focused on connecting shippers with reliable carriers. This position involves negotiating rates, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and driving new business opportunities through proactive outreach and relationship building. The representative will leverage technology and industry knowledge to optimize supply chains and deliver exceptional service to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Research leads and cold call potential clients to generate new business opportunities.
  • Negotiate rates and ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Provide high levels of service through consistent communication with customers.
  • Participate in sales training and continuous education to become a subject matter expert.
  • Meet or exceed established production metrics.
  • Collaborate with coworkers in a team-oriented environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • Full-time availability, 100% in-office work.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prior sales experience preferred or a passion for inside sales.
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in logistics or freight brokerage is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI technology in logistics.
