About the position

Meeting or exceeding established production metrics will be a key performance indicator of your success. Responsibilities

  • Research leads and cold call potential clients to generate new business opportunities.
  • Negotiate rates with carriers and shippers to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Provide high levels of service through consistent communication with customers.
  • Participate in sales training and continuous education to become a subject matter expert.
  • Meet or exceed established production metrics and sales goals.
  • Collaborate with coworkers in a team-oriented environment to achieve common goals.
  • Utilize creative methods to prospect and generate new business opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • Available to work full-time, 100% in-office.
  • Tech savvy with basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prior sales experience preferred or a passion for inside sales.
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Efficient time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Strong negotiation skills, confidence, and persuasiveness.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and establish rapport with clients.
  • Proactive decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and competitive spirit.

Nice-to-haves
