About the position

The Business Development Sales Representative at Approved Fire Protection Co. plays a vital role in acquiring new clients and maintaining relationships with existing customers in the fire protection industry. This full-time position involves nurturing client relationships, coordinating sales efforts with the project department, and achieving sales targets while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for services, addressing inquiries and providing information about products and services.
  • Obtain new clients and business while servicing current customers in the assigned territory.
  • Review customer maintenance including pricing and contacts.
  • Collaborate with other Account Managers and Business Developers.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system (Profit Zoom).
  • Coordinate live demonstrations of extinguisher training.
  • Manage territories in and around the Pittsburgh, PA area.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in the fire protection industry is required.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and excellent driving record.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites within the territory.
  • Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to read and write in English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CRM systems, particularly Profit Zoom.
  • Continuing education in fire protection or related fields.
