About the position

As a Business Development Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in further developing our go-to-market products and services. Your primary responsibility will be to drive greater volume and revenue through the establishment of partnerships, affiliations, and other arrangements with self-insured employers, payors, health systems, and other providers across the healthcare continuum. This role encompasses all business-to-business (B2B) opportunities, including direct-to-employer (DTE) strategies, as well as new model and product innovations, such as our virtual and on-demand services. In this position, you will be expected to develop strategies for new sales opportunities, focusing on B2B and DTE strategies, while also innovating new models and products. You will establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including self-insured employers and health systems, and build and manage a sales pipeline, accurately reporting your progress. Your role will also involve presenting and addressing in-depth questions about our product portfolio, as well as creating proposals and supporting documentation in collaboration with business development and value-based care teams. Additionally, you will conduct market research to assess the competitive landscape and identify potential new relationships. Continuous learning will be essential, as you will participate in clinical education training to enhance your product knowledge and stay informed about state regulations, market strategies, and sales techniques. Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies for new sales opportunities including business-to-business (B2B) and direct-to-employer (DTE) strategies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with self-insured employers, payors, health systems, and other providers across the healthcare continuum.
  • Build and manage a pipeline and report progress accurately.
  • Present and field in-depth questions about all products in the portfolio.
  • Build proposals, supporting documentation, and presentations in partnership with business development and value-based care teams.
  • Conduct market research to determine the current status of each competitor and use that information to determine new relationships.
  • Participate in clinical education training to broaden product knowledge as indicated by region.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of clinical practices, competitors, state rules and regulations, market strategies, and sales techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2 years of business development experience, including staffing services or direct-to-employer sales.
  • Healthcare business development experience preferred.
  • 3 years of experience developing strategic partnerships/business development with a focus on sales to health plans and/or self-insured employers.
  • Proven sales/marketing track record with documentation of consistent sales activity.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in urgent care or primary care settings.
  • Familiarity with virtual and on-demand healthcare services.
  • Strong analytical skills for market research and competitive analysis.
