Job Opening: Business Development Sales Representative Company: Rolled Metal Products, Inc. Location: Northeast location at 450 Winks Lane Suite 500 Bensalem, PA Job Type: Full-time, Exempt About Us Rolled Metal Products has been supplying our customers, large and small, with stainless, aluminum, and specialty metals strip for more than 30 years. Providing high-quality products, quick response, and reliable delivery has always been the key to our success, and we are dedicated to understanding the needs of our customers. As we experience a time of record growth, we are looking for a professional, experienced Inside Sales Representative to join our team. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for providing premier customer service to all current and potential customers from the point of initial contact through delivery of the product. Our ideal candidate is an ambitious, personable individual who understands the value of exceptional customer service and driving business goals. This is a hybrid position (on-site/home office) with 20-25% travel required. Day-to-day Tasks and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): - Business Development: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand RMP's presence and offerings with new, target, and growth accounts. - Develop and implement strategic account plans and growth strategies for each strategic client, including account profiling, opportunity identification, and action planning. - Build and maintain positive relationships with current and potential customers to ensure annual growth. - Selectively visit and maintain communication with companies within assigned territory and inquire about their needs. - Meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals set by General Manager, i.e., dollars booked and calls per day. - Promptly respond to Request for Quotes for current and potential customers, with an overall goal of no later than 24 hours per RFQ. - Coordinate with Production Department or mill suppliers to ensure orders are delivered timely and formally, advising customers of any delivery status changes. - Arrange for any outside processing required for an order. - Monitor inventory levels for accounts as assigned. - Coordinate with Quality Dept. in providing technical assistance and solutions for customer returns. - Formulate analysis of sales data to assist in establishing specific account pricing. - Perform follow-up on all quotations in a timely manner. - Contribute to a positive work environment based on teamwork and continuous improvement. - Communicate effectively with Inside Sales Representatives, Outside Sales, and management. - Provide General Manager or Commercial Manager with reports as assigned. - Adhere to all RMP's handbook policies, procedures, and business codes of ethics.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two or more years of sales experience
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving skills, and time management skills
  • Marketing experience, ensuring ability to recognize opportunities
  • Ability to effectively multi-task
  • Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with customers/suppliers
  • Strong work ethic; self-motivated
  • Creative, forward thinker

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Sales, Marketing or related area
  • Four or more years of experience in sales and marketing in metals distribution
