About the position

The Business Development Solutions Architect at Verizon is responsible for partnering with the sales team to cultivate new, technically-driven opportunities and accelerate sales development. This role focuses on understanding customer needs and crafting tailored service packages, driving growth in strategic and emerging products across various solution portfolios, including Business Internet, Cybersecurity, and Unified Communications. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen to effectively communicate complex solutions to customers and support sales teams in achieving their goals.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the sales team to cultivate new, technically-driven opportunities.
  • Accelerate sales development by demonstrating best practices to drive growth in strategic and emerging products.
  • Understand customer needs and craft the best package of services from data and voice.
  • Drive new opportunities and go-to-market strategies across Business Internet, Cybersecurity, and Unified Communications portfolios.
  • Provide high-quality, time-sensitive sales support, education, and training to the sales team.
  • Focus on sales processes and value propositions relevant to Attach, Strategic, and Emerging Product sales.
  • Support sales teams in creating compelling proposals and presentations showcasing Verizon's solutions.
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership to drive sales rep performance and product sales growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel between 25% and 50% of the time.
  • A valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience selling technical solutions and knowledge of Sales Reporting systems and tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of Unified Communications or Cybersecurity product disciplines.
  • Experience negotiating and contracting for complex technical solutions.
  • Experience working on a sales team and meeting challenging sales targets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal, written, and formal presentation skills.
  • Ability to create and present on the value of sales presentations, videos, and collateral.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
