About the position

Executive Alliance is pleased to represent our client, one of the leading multimedia and broadcast organizations in the United States, which serves programming to audiences through 13 broadcast and multimedia properties in New York, Connecticut, and Maryland. They are currently seeking a passionate Business Development Specialist, Digital & Media Platforms to play a pivotal role in driving sales for their integrated media products and services. This position is essential for the growth and success of the company, as it focuses on selling multiple mediums and solutions for two of their Maryland-based broadcast properties. The ideal candidate will be motivated, goal-oriented, and highly competitive, with a proven track record of over-achieving sales goals. In this role, the Business Development Specialist will be responsible for identifying client business needs and developing customized advertising solutions that align with their goals and objectives. The specialist will deliver effective multi-platform, integrated sales presentations that include broadcast, digital, and event solutions. A strong familiarity with digital assets, including streaming, website, and social advertising, is crucial to provide a complete marketing solution to advertisers. The successful candidate will excel at new business development through networking, cold calling, and referrals, while also maintaining a full pipeline of sales prospects. Additionally, the role requires preparing orders, resolving billing issues, and submitting regular reports regarding sales, pipeline lists, forecasts, and competitive analysis. Creativity and the ability to generate original ideas are essential for success in this position. This is an onsite role located in Frederick, MD, with the potential to transition to a hybrid model after training and portfolio development.

Responsibilities

  • Identify client business needs and develop customized advertising solutions.
  • Deliver effective multi-platform, integrated sales presentations (broadcast, digital, events).
  • Negotiate and close sales effectively.
  • Sell digital assets including streaming, website, and social advertising.
  • Excel at new business development through networking, cold calling, and referrals.
  • Maintain a full pipeline of sales prospects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years in tech or media sales background.
  • Valid and clean driving record, and use of an automobile.
