About the position

The Business Development Specialist is a key member of the sales team responsible for driving new business opportunities and revenue growth within a defined geographic territory. This role involves selling to both new and existing customers, focusing on identifying potential clients, developing tailored value propositions, and closing deals that meet customer needs. The position requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to collaborate with various internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Target new business opportunities by identifying potential new customers and growing revenue.
  • Conduct background research on potential customers and discuss their supply chain with decision makers.
  • Analyze customer needs and develop value propositions and customized pricing.
  • Maintain regular communication with managers and sales representatives regarding joint sales opportunities and lead generation.
  • Navigate internal processes to coordinate support and solutions with internal teams.
  • Produce and present competitive and market-based pricing to customers using negotiation skills.
  • Collaborate with sales peers, marketing, finance, and operations to identify issues and develop solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four years of business-to-business sales experience, or two years of the company's business-to-business sales experience required.
  • Bilingual proficiency is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of B2B sales experience required.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to develop customized pricing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in marketing is preferred.
  • Ability to travel overnight as required.
