About the position

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for the overall design, management, and execution of the Company's Business Development Department in the assigned area. This role focuses on developing and promoting a strategic sales and marketing plan to achieve or exceed budgeted census goals, while fostering relationships with referral sources and enhancing market share.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and implement sales and marketing strategies for the assigned region.
  • Maintain established census goals and quality mix by influencing the Business Development team.
  • Spearhead business development initiatives to advance market share and growth strategies.
  • Develop strategic relationships with referral sources, including acute care settings and physician practices.
  • Conduct demographic analysis of existing and future markets to maximize business development approaches.
  • Evaluate collateral materials to ensure they meet market and technological standards.
  • Develop advertising campaigns and public relations opportunities to build new business relationships.
  • Assist community leaders in recruiting and hiring talent for local census development.
  • Conduct ongoing training, coaching, and development of the internal sales team.
  • Monitor lead tracking system utilization and compile data to improve conversion ratios.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years experience as a Sales leader in Home Health.
  • Minimum of five years Home Health experience in implementing successful business development strategies.
  • Thorough understanding of Home Health, Long Term Care Market, and referral sources.
  • Proven history of achieving or exceeding admission goals.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Some college education in a Marketing related field, preferred.
