About the position

The Business Development Specialist at WizardQuant is responsible for identifying new business opportunities and supporting the company's growth. This role involves managing project development with key stakeholders, driving client relationships, and analyzing market data to inform strategic decisions. The position requires a proactive approach to relationship management and a strong understanding of the financial markets.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business and trading leaders to identify new business opportunities and support company growth.
  • Manage project development with key stakeholders.
  • Navigate the process from introduction to integration and manage ongoing relationships with exchanges.
  • Drive and manage client relationships domestically and internationally, acting as the first point of contact for key clients.
  • Analyze existing market data on exchanges and provide insights to key stakeholders.
  • Ensure product and sales materials are updated and tailored for presentations and opportunities.
  • Maintain productive relationships with partners, resolving business, policy, and technical issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • In-depth knowledge in finance.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically while handling complex issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and networking skills.
  • Experience analyzing and assessing market data.
  • Self-starter with a strong drive to advance business goals.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin.
  • Management skills with strong negotiation and contract skills.
  • Detail-oriented.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in a sales/business development role in a financial institution or consulting company.
