About the position

The Business Development Specialist will play a crucial role in the Ames Strategic Partnerships Office, focusing on planning, managing, and executing partnership activities that align with NASA's strategic goals. This position involves identifying and securing partnership opportunities, developing proposals, and preparing necessary documentation to support these initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact and interface with the Ames Center Agreement Manager to provide expert advice and coordination of various agreements.
• Work with partnership initiators and the Office of Chief Counsel to define and establish partnerships.
• Research and evaluate new business opportunities and initiatives for NASA program execution.
• Participate in the analysis and development of agency-wide projects and programs.
• Manage the development and execution of partnership agreements in compliance with agency regulations.
• Conduct assessments to ensure the viability of potential partners and gather relevant information for business solutions.
• Champion NASA's commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in business development activities consistent with NASA's strategic goals.
• Experience in developing and interpreting policies relevant to partnership development activities.
• Knowledge of agency program goals to assess key program events and suggest evaluation methods.
• Participation in agency programs and administrative support functions, including assessing the impact of legislation on programs.
