About the position

The Business Development Specialist at Elko Community Health Center is responsible for fostering relationships with community stakeholders, developing strategic business plans, and driving growth initiatives within the healthcare sector. This role involves collaboration with various internal teams and external partners to enhance the organization's market presence and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with community members, medical practices, local government, and local employers on behalf of Affinity Health.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, payers, and industry partners.
  • Keep community abreast of new providers and product lines.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align business development efforts with company goals.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to potential clients and partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of business development initiatives.
  • Attend industry conferences and events to network and promote the company.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of potential business opportunities.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on business development activities and progress.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with business development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Manage budgets and resources for business development projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and forming strategic partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare market, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
