About the position

The Business Director for the Controls & Software - North America business unit is responsible for leading a team of product specialists and regional managers to drive orders growth for the Controls & Software portfolio. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial controls and software technology, as well as the ability to collaborate with regional sales teams to implement growth programs and support customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Drive orders growth across North America for the Controls & Systems portfolio.
  • Manage a team and work through the regional sales network to improve growth.
  • Align with regional sales network to drive new product launches and technology expertise.
  • Lead mutual action plan reviews with distribution partners and provide technical training to regional sales teams.
  • Partner with regional sales network to drive end user, OEM, and EPC specification for the Controls & Software portfolio.
  • Collaborate with C&S SBU teams to identify customer needs and market trends to implement effective growth programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant years of experience commensurate with the level of this position.
  • Strong understanding of technology, channel dynamics, and customer needs in the industrial controls and software space.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization and partner with technical teams to develop tailored solutions.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and team engagement in a multi-product environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic problem solver with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM and ERP systems.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
