The Business Enablement Vice President (VP) is responsible for leading strategic business enablement and transformation initiatives on behalf of the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) executive leadership. This role requires leveraging subject matter expertise and leadership skills to design and execute a wide range of business initiatives, including strategic planning, new product initiatives, business change efforts, M&A evaluation/integration, resource/functional investment plans, and other special projects. The VP will partner closely with executive leaders, functional leaders, and other business and functional resources to ensure successful execution of these initiatives. In this position, the VP plays an integral role in driving the growth of all CIB business and product lines. They will independently lead the delivery of support work assigned by senior business enablement staff, which includes conducting data analyses, business intelligence, market intelligence, and preparing executive-level presentations and business cases. The VP will work closely with Business Enablement leads, business subject matter experts (SMEs), and functional partners to provide expertise and execution enablement for project and program delivery, often serving a key role in project design, management, and oversight. The VP will also be responsible for designing frameworks for advanced data analysis and insight generation, employing robust analytical skills to identify opportunities and lead the development and implementation of proposed solutions aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of CIB's business enablement support. They will navigate unstructured situations, translating them into appropriate objectives and priorities, problem-solving, and defining effective execution paths for themselves and others in the face of ambiguity. Additionally, the VP may supervise junior staff, including Analysts and Associates, and will be responsible for directing and developing these team members, ensuring the quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of their work. Building and maintaining effective internal working relationships across CIB and the bank is crucial, as is applying solid risk management skills in a complex risk environment, guiding junior resources on appropriate risk decision-making.
