About the position

The Business Engagement Manager (BEM) for the MN/ND Ecosystem at Genentech plays a pivotal role in connecting the company with financial decision-makers in the healthcare sector. This position is responsible for managing provider contracts, developing engagement strategies, and ensuring compliance while advocating for patient access to treatments. The BEM collaborates with various internal and external stakeholders to drive contract pull-through and enhance the overall customer experience, all while focusing on improving health outcomes and reducing costs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a crucial link between Genentech and financial decision-makers in the healthcare ecosystem.
  • Manage and influence provider contracts and identify partnership opportunities.
  • Develop and execute engagement strategies and account plans for top-priority accounts.
  • Educate stakeholders about payer formulary status and contract eligibility.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure cohesive account management.
  • Drive provider contract pull-through and communication within the ecosystem.
  • Engage and influence senior financial decision-makers and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8 or more years of cross-functional industry experience in commercial life sciences or related fields.
  • Advanced understanding of the contracting environment and healthcare ecosystem.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex contracts.
  • Excellent collaboration, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or other related graduate-level degree.
  • Proven analytical ability and operational excellence.
  • Experience navigating the hospital/IDN formulary process.
  • Expertise in contract negotiations, particularly in oncology and rare disease products.
  • Advanced skills in business strategy, negotiation, and presentation.
