About the position

The Business Field Sales Executive at WOW! is responsible for driving sales by identifying, prospecting, and closing new accounts within a designated territory. This role focuses on selling coaxial and fiber-based services to small and medium-sized business (SMB) customers, leveraging a strong understanding of the telecommunications industry and financial metrics to achieve sales targets. The position offers a competitive base salary with uncapped commission potential, allowing for significant earnings based on performance.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, develop, negotiate with, and close new accounts within a defined territory.
  • Focus on selling coaxial and fiber-based services to SMB customers.
  • Lead and orchestrate WOW! resources and personnel in support of customer relationships.
  • Engage with decision makers and present solutions effectively.
  • Manage a sales module of at least 400 customers and maintain a sales funnel in line with company expectations.
  • Deliver and maintain required monthly sales quotas established by the department manager.
  • Accurately complete paperwork associated with each customer order/request.
  • Provide accurate weekly sales forecasts for 30/60/90/120 days.
  • Utilize Salesforce to improve sales efficiency and transparency to senior management.
  • Identify, prospect, and penetrate a defined base of accounts.

Requirements

  • Experience in the telecom industry or outside sales preferred but not required.
  • Working knowledge of the cable, telecommunications, and data industries.
  • Knowledge of financial measurements such as IRR, NPV, Fixed Cost, and Variable Cost.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites, approximately 40-60% of the work week.
  • Proficiency with standard suite of telecommunications products.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Office Suite, and Salesforce.com.
  • Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in outside sales or telecom industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with financial metrics and telecommunications products.
