About the position
The Business Financial Analyst role at Caplugs involves supporting the Commercial team by conducting financial performance analysis, margin analysis, and developing analytical tools. This position is crucial for driving revenue optimization and improving profitability through insightful financial reporting and analysis. The analyst will report directly to the Director of Finance and Strategy and will play a key role in the decision-making process for new customer quoting and capital investments.
Responsibilities
- Analyze sales and customer performance in collaboration with Commercial/Sales teams.
- Conduct regular analysis of current margins and pricing to enhance profitability.
- Develop and implement volume/price/mix reporting and analysis.
- Manage the sales incentives compensation plan.
- Provide recommendations on margins for newly quoted business requiring new capital investments.
- Implement standard reporting tools and develop dashboards for enhanced data management and analytics.
- Consolidate actual results and develop forecasts and budgets for sales, collaborating with various business areas.
- Handle projects as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Degree in Finance, Business Analysis, or Business Information Systems.
- 1 year of experience in Business analysis.
- 1 year of experience in Forecasting.
- 1 year of experience in Database management.
- Proficiency in Power BI and Tableau or similar database management tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large data sets and identify trends.
- Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Excellent planning, organizational, coordination, and time management skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Power BI and Tableau is preferred.
