About the position

The Functional Implementation Specialist at Enhanced Veterans Solutions, Inc. (EVS) plays a crucial role in supporting the Chief Data Officer and data teams by facilitating human-centered design processes and ensuring efficient Front Office operations. This position involves managing reporting, preparing talking points, and tracking action items, while also applying systems thinking to address complex challenges within the bureau.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver regular reports to keep the front office informed for data-driven decision-making.
  • Create talking points for the managing director and senior staff for meetings and briefings.
  • Manage briefing checklists to ensure all necessary information is gathered for meetings or events.
  • Coordinate the managing director's calendar and logistics with stakeholders.
  • Attend key meetings to take notes, track action items, and ensure follow-up on decisions.
  • Track action items assigned to the managing director's staff and ensure timely completion.
  • Assist in preparing accountability reports to assess performance and follow-through of staff.
  • Lead and facilitate meetings, workshops, and collaborative sessions to align with strategic goals.
  • Drive collaborative problem-solving using human-centered design principles.
  • Apply systems thinking to understand interconnections within the bureau.
  • Utilize graphic facilitation techniques to visually capture ideas during meetings.
  • Design and conduct innovation workshops to encourage creative thinking and idea generation.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather insights and ensure design solutions meet bureau needs.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with accountability frameworks and reporting mechanisms
  • High level of discretion and professionalism
  • Previous experience in a special assistant or chief of staff role
  • Proven experience supporting senior executives with front-office operations
  • Skills in meeting facilitation, human-centered design, and graphic facilitation
  • Experience in conducting user research and developing personas
  • Ability to apply systems thinking to complex challenges
