About the position

The Business Immigration Analyst position at Fragomen offers an opportunity to make a significant impact in the field of immigration. This role involves working in a dynamic environment focused exclusively on immigration, providing world-class client service, and utilizing industry-leading technology solutions. Analysts will engage in various immigration matters, case preparation, and filing petitions with government agencies, while also ensuring compliance with firm standards and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Learn about various types of immigration matters and build knowledge of firm, immigration case types and client processes.
  • Perform tasks related to case preparation and filing of petitions with government agencies, including document gathering, document review, case drafting, and case filing.
  • Communicate with foreign nationals and client contacts, providing clear and prompt responses regarding case status or other general inquiries under the guidance of a supervisor.
  • Meet assigned deadlines that adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and communicate case progress, status, and escalations to supervisor.
  • Compile and summarize large quantities of data within case management systems for reporting to clients, managers, and team.
  • Understand and contribute to team and individual productivity goals.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and initiative.
  • Follow documented firm standards and policies to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory, operational, and client compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, Paralegal certification, or experience in a customer-facing or client service-oriented role.
  • A client-service mindset with attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
  • The ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and escalate case issues to supervisor.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to proofread documents, draft fluent prose, and avoid grammatical mistakes without the aid of AI engines.
  • Experience using various computer systems, including MS Word and Excel.
