About the position

The Business Implementation Specialist at Pace® Analytical Services is responsible for supporting the implementation of projects in acquired or existing laboratories. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure that laboratories meet their operational goals and customer needs. The specialist will assist in the development and implementation of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), support lab staff during testing processes, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of various LIMS at on-site labs.
• Support laboratories when staffing or work volume makes it difficult to meet customer needs.
• Provide assistance and support to on-site lab staff during the testing process and post-go-live.
• Work with the on-site lab to develop and implement new processes to support the business.
• Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance local business efficiencies.
• Ensure timely communication to all project stakeholders and update project plans with the Director of Business Integration.
• Escalate issues to ensure timely business decisions and resource availability.
• Compose, publish, and archive reports and analyses as required.
• Facilitate user training in new and existing applications, systems, and technologies.
• Maintain current knowledge of technology and new computer applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field.
• Two years of experience in lab operations or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of analytical testing and method requirements.
• Skills in analyzing and documenting business processes and user requirements.
• Ability to instruct users in the use of new or enhanced business applications.

Nice-to-haves
