About the position

The Business Insights Analyst II role at TD Bank focuses on conducting analyses on curated and aggregated DataMart's to generate analytical insights that drive business growth and value. This position supports the Initiative Data Management team by measuring their work and building various reports, ensuring they are auditable and traceable. The analyst will work independently as a senior subject matter expert, coaching others and overseeing tasks from end-to-end.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analyses on curated and aggregated DataMart's to generate relevant analytical insights.
  • Utilize Clarity PPM and Service Now tools to build reports based on data.
  • Build operational, management, and executive reporting for the team, including compliance metrics.
  • Ensure all reports have metadata, lineage, and repeatability for audit and traceability.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and coach others in the team.
  • Develop analysis and proper visualization to illustrate business trends and identify opportunities.
  • Execute data requests accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provide day-to-day support and delivery of analytics insights and collateral.
  • Identify and investigate data/analytics related issues and ensure accuracy in analysis.
  • Educate/train business users on integrating analytics into decisions.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred (e.g., math, physics, engineering, finance, or computer science).
  • 3+ years of relevant experience; higher degree education and research tenure can be counted.
  • Proven data wrangling, data mining, data research, and data visualization/reporting skills.
  • Solid SQL, Python/R, PowerBI/Tableau skills.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and Clarity PPM is a big plus.

  • Experience in financial services or banking industry.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
