About the position

The Business Insights Data Analyst III plays a crucial role in supporting both short and long-term operational and strategic initiatives within the healthcare sector. This position requires navigating complex healthcare data to derive meaningful insights, utilizing data visualization tools to present findings effectively, and collaborating with various stakeholders to communicate actionable insights. The analyst also serves as a mentor to team members and acts as a Subject Matter Expert, leveraging analytics proficiency to drive successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Support short and long-term operational and strategic business initiatives in the healthcare sector.
  • Navigate and analyze complex healthcare data sources to derive meaningful insights.
  • Utilize data visualization tools to translate complex datasets into visually compelling presentations.
  • Communicate actionable insights to diverse stakeholders through effective narratives.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders, management, and line staff in a matrixed environment.
  • Mentor team members and provide guidance on analytics proficiency.
  • Complete work in a technical and systematic manner, applying standard formulas and methods in the healthcare industry.
  • Collect, manipulate, and analyze data with precision, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Utilize correlation analysis techniques and deploy statistical process controls to identify observations requiring investigation.
  • Prepare detailed reports with various visualizations to effectively communicate significant results from data analysis.
  • Influence senior leadership and management through compelling recommendations generated from data analysis.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and drive effective solutions.
  • Adapt to evolving healthcare business processes and demonstrate the ability to learn new industry concepts quickly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Analytics or a related field (or equivalent education/experience).
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in collecting, manipulating, and analyzing data in business and/or healthcare.
  • Minimum 4 years of SQL experience, leveraging big data for complex analyses.
  • Extensive experience with data visualization using Tableau.
  • Proven experience in independently managing multiple priorities and ensuring data integrity.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Python or R programming for advanced analytics and automation.
