About the position

The Business Insights Data and Solutions Analyst III plays a crucial role in leading analytic projects with minimal oversight, focusing on delivering insights and recommendations to enhance operational performance. This position requires effective communication with customers and cross-functional teams to understand business needs, identify issues, and propose solutions. The analyst will also mentor team members and ensure that project requirements align with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytic initiatives to develop strategic insights into key business decisions and recommendations to improve operational performance.
• Research and analyze data in support of business functions, process knowledge, and systems requirements.
• Create dashboard/query analysis using SQL, Python, and R to improve member outcomes and medical costs.
• Design innovative analytic approaches to test hypotheses and extract actionable insights from structured and unstructured data.
• Document business requirements and related logic to ensure downstream measurements perform for desired outcomes.
• Consult across business operations, providing mentorship and contributing specialized knowledge.
• Track maintenance of business needs and requirements during execution and delivery phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of Data Analysis experience, including eliciting and documenting business and systems requirements.
• Minimum of 2 years applying Operations Research practices to business problems.
• Minimum of 2 years of health plan experience.
• Experience with SQL, Python, and R.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Tableau, MS Office, Impala, Hive, and GitHub.
• Expert knowledge of relational databases and database structures.
