About the position

The Business Insights Specialist at TD Bank is responsible for analyzing data to generate insights that drive business growth and value. This role involves working closely with business leaders to present analytical findings and recommendations, focusing on data issue management and remediation projects. The specialist will create monitoring and reporting tools, develop ETL processes, and produce Tableau reports to support decision-making within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses on curated and aggregated DataMart's to generate relevant insights for business issues.
• Create ongoing monitoring and reporting tools for Commercial data monitoring.
• Develop ETL ingestions and analytics engines.
• Publish Tableau reports for internal stakeholders and provide executive recommendations based on analytics.
• Lead the interpretation of complex business issues and generate multifaceted insights.
• Present insights and recommended actions to stakeholders in an easily digestible manner.
• Act as the primary interface with business to translate requirements into analytics needs.
• Identify opportunities for business growth and value drivers.
• Train business users on integrating analytics into decision-making.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred (e.g., math, physics, engineering, finance, or computer science).
• 5+ years of relevant experience in analytics or data management.
• 1-3 years of software development experience with strong programming skills (Python, R, Julia, etc.).
• Experience with Agile or Lean software development processes.
• Data visualization skills (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in financial services or banking industry.
• Familiarity with risk and regulatory data analytics.
