About the position

The Business Insights Specialist at TD Bank is responsible for conducting analyses on curated and aggregated DataMarts to generate analytical insights that drive business growth and value. This role involves creating ongoing monitoring and reporting tools for commercial data, developing ETL processes, and producing Tableau reports for internal stakeholders. The specialist will work closely with business leaders to present insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses on curated and aggregated DataMarts to generate relevant analytical insights.
• Create ongoing monitoring and reporting tools for commercial data.
• Develop ETL processes and analytics engines.
• Publish Tableau reports for internal stakeholders.
• Provide executive recommendations based on analytics and reports.
• Lead the interpretation of complex business issues and generate multifaceted insights.
• Present insights and recommended actions to stakeholders in an easily digestible manner.
• Act as the primary interface with business to translate requirements into analytics needs.
• Escalate data/process related problems and communicate to relevant teams.
• Train business users on integrating analytics into decisions.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred (e.g., math, physics, engineering, finance, or computer science).
• 5+ years of relevant experience in analytics or data management.
• 1-3 years of software development experience with strong programming skills (Python, R, Julia, etc.).
• Experience with Agile or Lean software development processes.
• Data visualization skills (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in financial services or banking industry.
