About the position

The Business Insights Specialist is responsible for conducting analyses on curated and aggregated DataMart's to generate relevant analytical insights for business issues and identify opportunities for business growth and value. This role supports Data Issue Management and Remediation projects within the Risk & Regulatory Data & Analytics organization, focusing on the creation of ongoing monitoring and reporting tools for Commercial data monitoring. The specialist will work autonomously, providing specialized knowledge and guidance to stakeholders, and will be accountable for delivering insights and recommendations based on analytics and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analyses on curated and aggregated DataMart's to generate analytical insights.
  • Support Data Issue Management and Remediation projects within the Risk & Regulatory Data & Analytics organization.
  • Create ongoing monitoring and reporting tools for Commercial data monitoring.
  • Develop ETL ingestions and analytics engines.
  • Create and publish Tableau reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Provide executive recommendations based on analytics and Tableau reports.
  • Lead the interpretation of complex business issues and generate multifaceted insights.
  • Present and communicate insights and recommended actions to stakeholders in an easily digestible manner.
  • Act as the primary interface with business to translate requirements to analytics needs.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and value drivers.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred (e.g., math, physics, engineering, finance, or computer science).
  • 5+ years of relevant experience or a graduate degree with progressive project work experience.
  • 1-3 years of software development experience with strong programming skills (i.e., Python, R, Julia, etc.).
  • Experience with Agile or Lean software development processes.
  • Data Visualization skills (i.e., Tableau, Power BI, etc.).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in team development.
  • Knowledge of financial controls and compliance requirements.
