About the position

The Business Intel Engineer - II, Robotics position at Amazon involves working within the Fulfillment Technologies and Robotics Research & Development team to develop and implement AI/ML solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience. The role focuses on designing scalable data architectures, developing data processing jobs, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights through data analysis and reporting. This position is integral to the innovation and technology hub, contributing to the rapid development of new machine learning programs and ensuring data integrity across various projects.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data warehouse tables, data pipelines, reports, and dashboards.
  • Develop moderately to highly complex data processing jobs using technologies such as SQL, Python, Spark, and AWS Lambda.
  • Create and manage dashboards and reports to provide insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business domains, requirements, and expectations.
  • Deliver data analysis that ranges from minimally to moderately complex.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, anticipating risks and resolving issues.
  • Adopt best practices in reporting, ensuring data integrity, test design, validation, and documentation.
  • Apply knowledge of AI/ML and industry solutions to solve business problems.
  • Demonstrate excellence in verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adapt to various roles and responsibilities to drive results.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Quicksight, or similar.
  • Experience in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.
  • Experience with statistical analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab.
  • Scripting experience in Python for data processing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
  • Experience in data mining and ETL processes in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
