About the position

The Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Business Intelligence Administrator, also known as Information Systems Analyst II, Option S. This role is pivotal in conducting and coordinating in-depth studies that involve analyzing data and creating insightful visualizations. The successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of data-driven solutions within the Enterprise Infrastructure division. The position requires providing administrative assistance with enterprise Microsoft PowerBI environments, which includes extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. This ensures that reporting is accurate and up-to-date, which is crucial for informed decision-making within the organization. In this dynamic and creative environment, the Business Intelligence Administrator will be responsible for leveraging data analytics to support the agency's goals. The role demands a strong understanding of data management principles and the ability to communicate complex data insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders. The candidate will also be expected to stay current with industry trends and best practices in business intelligence and data visualization, ensuring that the agency remains at the forefront of technology and innovation. Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth studies involving data analysis and visualization.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills and experience in data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerBI and other BI tools.
  • Ability to create insightful visualizations from complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
