About the position

The Business Intelligence Analyst 4 at PayPal will play a crucial role in the Xoom Marketing team, focusing on leveraging data to drive insights and improve marketing strategies. This position involves collaborating with various teams to enhance data infrastructure, optimize marketing performance, and ensure alignment with PayPal's overall data vision. The analyst will be responsible for defining marketing's impact on the business, troubleshooting data issues, and building effective dashboards for marketers.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day relationship with Xoom Marketing, providing data-driven insights including business casing, deep dives, modeling, campaign performance readouts, and optimization.
  • Drive overall vision & innovation in Xoom Analytics to improve Marketing's ability to access and understand data, leading to powerful insights.
  • Deliver accurate, action-driving recommendations to drive business performance and investment optimization.
  • Build effective and modular data dashboards for Xoom marketers to leverage for insights.
  • Troubleshoot & resolve data breakages within the Marketing Technology stack, acting as a liaison with Marketing, MarTech, and Product.
  • Deep knowledge of AdTech tools leveraged for paid marketing activities like DSPs, Google Marketing platform, Google Analytics, etc.
  • Liaise with Paid Media vendors and Paid Marketers on a needs basis.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to drive alignment to marketing strategy and build trust with peers and senior leaders.
  • Evangelize segment roadmaps and build strong relationships with key stakeholders to prioritize solutions.
  • Collaborate with geo-distributed teams of developers and stakeholders across multiple time zones.
  • Proven experience in Agile best practices and document actionable EPIC's and user stories.
  • Synthesize insights from multiple qualitative and quantitative sources to understand customer experiences in marketing.
  • Present clearly and keep presentations on track, answering questions from executives confidently.
  • Represent the organization while working with other global business units and provide timely feedback to team members.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Marketing Analytics role, preferably in a consumer-based business.
  • 5+ years experience working with Paid Media stakeholders and vendors.
  • 5+ years of product management experience in Digital Marketing execution domain.
  • 3+ years of experience in defining OKRs, measuring KPIs, and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • MS/PhD Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering, or Economics preferred.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Paid Media landscape (SEM, Social, Display, CRM, etc.).
  • Experience with managing or executing marketing activities in advertising technology platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Marketing Platforms, and DSPs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Digital marketing experience is a big plus.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and best practices.
