About the position

The Business Intelligence Analyst role is focused on leveraging data analytics and visualization tools to enhance business decision-making processes. This position involves collaborating with various business stakeholders to understand their needs and translating those into actionable data insights. The analyst will be responsible for developing analytical solutions that improve business performance and drive outcomes, while also serving as a subject matter expert in data and analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Use data analytics and visualization tools to assist clients in making effective business decisions.
• Understand business processes and develop use cases, user stories, and acceptance testing for data analytic solutions.
• Act as a proactive thought partner with business stakeholders to improve outcomes through data analysis and dashboards.
• Translate business priorities into data needs and desired outcomes for internal analytic products.
• Collaborate with business to write user stories and requirements while working with technology and data governance teams.
• Groom a backlog of features and data to support the BI&A roadmap in collaboration with Data Governance and Technology teams.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and product evangelist for data, analytics, and digital tools.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve business process gaps affecting data insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in IT, Business, Science, or Math.
• 10+ years of experience in business data analysis and requirements building.
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills with business value judgment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey analytical concepts in business language.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and drive cross-functional teams.
• Working knowledge of the agile software development process.
• Experience with SQL, Tableau, and/or other analytical technologies.
