The Business Intelligence Analyst at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield plays a crucial role in utilizing data analytics to support various business initiatives aimed at extracting value from information. This position focuses on developing data visualizations and generating insights through dashboards, metrics, and reports, particularly in the healthcare sector. The analyst will collaborate with business leads to conduct both proactive and reactive analyses, monitor key performance indicators, and support the development of analytical tools that drive healthcare strategy.

Responsibilities

• Provides healthcare analytics support to generate insights in the form of dashboards, metrics, or reports for healthcare solutions.
• Operates as a thought partner with business leads to perform both proactive and reactive analysis for key stakeholders.
• Develops meaningful reports and analysis for health care system entities and presents findings.
• Monitors key performance indicators and balanced scorecards to aid in improved decision-making.
• Supports infrastructure that fosters analytical rigor and develops models and tools that drive healthcare strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or related field, or an additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• 3 years experience with business intelligence tools, data analytics, and/or database management systems.
• Proficient in business intelligence software, such as PowerBI, Qlik, or Tableau.
• Ability to translate technical complexities to key business stakeholders.
• Ability to learn and understand all areas of operations within the organization.
• Ability to think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
