About the position

ArcBest is a logistics company that prides itself on having creative problem solvers who deliver integrated solutions for complex supply chain challenges. We are currently seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst - Revenue Operations to join our team. This role serves as an internal analytics consultant, responsible for translating data into valuable strategic and tactical insights that drive results for ArcBest's Sales and Customer Engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented self-starter who collaborates with various departments across the organization to develop and implement solutions aimed at optimizing processes, improving productivity, and enhancing long-term customer value. In this position, you will be expected to develop a strong business acumen to effectively anticipate and define opportunities for data analytics. A deep understanding of our data and technology suite will be crucial in guiding decision-making and solution development. You will collaborate cross-functionally to translate business insights into actionable solutions, create dashboards and reports to support key business initiatives, and manage performance metrics. Additionally, you will research and analyze data to provide data-driven recommendations to key stakeholders, identify data governance issues, and perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed. As a member of the ArcBest Sales and Customer Engagement Operations team in Fort Smith, AR, you will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with the possibility of irregular hours depending on workload. This role is essential in ensuring that our data-driven strategies are effectively implemented and that we continue to meet our business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop business knowledge to effectively anticipate and define opportunities for data analytics.
  • Gain deep understanding of data and technology suite to guide decision-making and solution development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business insights into solutions.
  • Create dashboards and reports to support key business initiatives and performance management.
  • Research and analyze data to provide data-driven recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Identify data governance issues, missing data, incorrect data, and any other issue that might pose a risk of providing inaccurate data to the business.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or other related field.
  • Minimum one year's experience in a data analytics role, preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, VBA, Power BI.
