About the position

The Business Intelligence Analyst role at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) involves analyzing complex business problems using data from various sources to provide insights for decision-making. The position requires identifying trends in datasets, constructing forecasts, and creating reports based on business needs. The analyst will also provide consultation to users, lead cross-functional teams, and produce data sets for analysis using system reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources.
• Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.
• Construct forecasts, recommendations, and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.
• Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and data elements required or available.
• Provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues.
• Produce data sets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools.
• Identify project risks and impediments; notify management and work with team members to complete assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Experience working in healthcare data and analytics.
• Proficiency in SQL programming and relational database design principles.
• Experience with Tableau and data visualization & BI tools.
• Familiarity with DB2, R, and Python programming is a plus.
• Epic Cogito, Caboodle, and Clarity certifications as well as Clinical Data Model certifications are a plus.
