About the position

The Business Intelligence Analyst II at Fox Chase Cancer Center plays a crucial role in enhancing research IT support for cancer center investigators. This position involves utilizing data to address organizational challenges, identifying customer needs, and manipulating data to present actionable insights. The analyst will design and develop visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate results, working independently or with minimal direction on various assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize data and information to answer questions and address organizational issues.
  • Identify customer needs and assess data sources to satisfy those needs.
  • Manipulate data using reporting and analytical tools to present information meaningfully.
  • Integrate data from disparate sources to provide new insights.
  • Design and develop visualizations, interactive dashboards, and other displays to communicate results effectively.
  • Engage independently or with minimal direction on small to medium work assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Technical or related field (e.g. Math, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics) (Required)
  • 3 Years experience and knowledge using SQL in Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2 or other relational database (Required)
  • 3 Years experience in data analysis and tools (Required)
  • 3 Years experience in database and information systems technology (Required)
  • 3 Years experience in developing with Tableau, Qlik, Crystal Reports, WebIntelligence, Cognos, MicroStrategy or other major end-user data access toolset (Required)
  • 3 Years experience with full development life-cycle projects (Required)

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Technical or related field (e.g. Math, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics) (Preferred)
  • 3 Years experience in data warehousing, data marts, data management or related field (Preferred)
  • 3 Years experience working in healthcare (Preferred)
