The Business Intelligence Analyst II is responsible for maintaining the financial health of hospital clients by preparing, analyzing, and acting on risk pool statements, which are akin to profit and loss statements. This role involves producing standardized reports using documented procedures, ensuring the quality and accuracy of data, and delivering scheduled and requested reports on time to both internal and external customers. The analyst will utilize multiple business intelligence and analytical tools to summarize data in a meaningful and presentable format, reporting and presenting this data to internal customers in a user-friendly manner. Additionally, the analyst will provide recommendations based on the data presented to enhance decision-making processes. In this position, the analyst will prepare and present financial information for review and approval by leadership, develop solutions to ad-hoc analytical and reporting requests, and perform thorough analyses on financial and operational issues. The role requires a strong understanding of financial reports to ensure they convey meaningful information. The analyst will demonstrate a baseline working knowledge of applications and tools appropriate for the level of the position, follow standard principles and reporting systems used by Conifer, and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. The analyst will also be expected to maintain effective and collaborative relationships with Conifer staff, demonstrating intermediate knowledge of data reporting using established procedures and tools. Proficiency in tools such as Crystal Reports, Excel, and Access is essential for data extraction and reporting. The analyst will extract data from processing systems to perform analysis and generate reports, using exported data to create pivot tables that summarize information in a clear and presentable way. The role emphasizes the importance of analyzing exported data to assess its reasonableness and quality, ensuring that the information presented is accurate and actionable.
