As a Business Intelligence Analyst III, you will provide advanced data and analytical support to the UCLA Health System. This position involves the development and management of databases that support efficient workflow and adhere to the specifications of regulatory agencies. You will also provide data support to data-driven performance improvement projects within the UCLA Health system. Your responsibilities will include preparing reports and Tableau dashboards and presenting findings to health system leaders and teams. You will manage data-driven projects and assist with the identification of critical issues and the development of solutions using the PDCA and Lean methodologies. Working effectively with minimum supervision as part of a team, you will ensure the maximum use of technology to promote efficient work systems. Responsibilities

  • Development and management of databases that support efficient workflow and adhere to the specifications of regulatory agencies.
  • Provides data support to data-driven performance improvement projects within UCLA Health system.
  • Prepare reports and Tableau dashboards and present findings to health system leaders and teams.
  • Manage data-driven projects and assist with the identification of critical issues and development of solutions using the PDCA and Lean methodologies.
  • Work effectively with minimum supervision as part of a team and work productively with the department staff while assuring the maximum use of technology to promote efficient work systems.

Requirements

  • BS degree in statistics, Business, computer science, mathematics, or quantitative analysis related field or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced skill in Python, Tableau, SQL, R, Excel, SPSS, and PowerPoint.
  • 2+ years of experience in Clinical Data Analytics, Statistics, and Quality Measures.
  • 3+ years of experience in advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of the industry-specific issues, regulatory requirements, and current healthcare industry.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and creative environment.
  • Ability to think 'outside-the-box' and be creative to accomplish departmental goals.
  • Ability to prioritize work and remain detail-oriented.
  • Ability to lead system-wide complex projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or MS in quantitative analytical fields.
  • 3+ years in Python, SQL, and Tableau experience.
  • 3+ years experience in the healthcare industry.
  • 1+ year experience in data science (AI/ML), data management, and data analysis.
  • 1+ year experience in project management.
