About the position

As a Business Intelligence Analyst III at The Standard, you will be responsible for modeling and analyzing complex data from various sources to provide insights that support decision-making for leaders. This role involves developing and maintaining data models, operational reports, and performance dashboards tailored to business needs, while also ensuring data quality and governance. You will collaborate with the Enterprise Data & Analytics team to facilitate access to consistent data and act as a Data Steward to manage data assets effectively.

Responsibilities

• Model and analyze complex data from internal and external sources.
• Develop and maintain data models, operational reports, and performance dashboards based on business needs.
• Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to deliver actionable intelligence and recommendations.
• Partner with Enterprise Data & Analytics to ensure efficient access to quality, consistent data.
• Act as a Data Steward to articulate and own data assets, ensuring they are clearly defined and consistently used.
• Participate in identifying and remediating data quality issues.
• Advocate for industry best practices around data management, analysis, and presentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field or equivalent experience in a data analyst role.
• Strong experience with BI tools and developing queries and procedures in SQL, Data Bricks, Azure, or other analytic platforms.
• Experience with data warehousing platforms and big data technologies.
• Understanding of data quality and data governance.
• Skilled in using Power BI to support business analytics and decision making.
• Experience working with non-technical users to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions.
