About the position

The Business Intelligence Analyst plays a crucial role in the Business Intelligence and Market Research team, focusing on leveraging data and analytics to support informed decision-making across the organization. This position involves developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions tailored to stakeholder needs, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering a data-informed culture. The analyst will work closely with various teams to gather and analyze data, providing actionable insights that help the organization maintain its competitive edge in the Commercial and Industrial construction sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain intelligence dashboards and reports to visualize business, industry, and construction project performance.
  • Conduct in-depth opportunity mapping to identify untapped market segments and potential growth areas.
  • Gather and analyze competitive intelligence to assess the strengths, weaknesses, and strategies of competitors.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within the construction industry.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to stay ahead of market changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve project and business outcomes.
  • Implement and optimize business intelligence tools and processes for more efficient data management.
  • Monitor and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting systems.
  • Assist in preparing presentations for senior management about business insights and assessments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Market Research, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
  • Proficiency in database management and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of SQL and statistical analysis techniques is preferred.
  • Able to demonstrate proficiency with Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex data insights effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating initiative and independence.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and project requirements.
