The Business Intelligence Analyst plays a crucial role within the Real Estate Investments team, focusing on providing comprehensive reporting solutions that support the entire lifecycle of Commercial Mortgage Loans. This position requires a proactive approach, as the analyst will work with limited supervision to analyze, design, and develop various reporting tools. Key responsibilities include the development of SSRS reports, custom data extracts, and the creation of dashboards using Tableau and Power BI. Additionally, the analyst will handle ad-hoc data and reporting requests to meet the specific data needs of the Real Estate Investment team. In this role, the Business Intelligence Analyst will collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather and define business requirements for reporting and dashboard design. This involves translating these requirements into detailed technical specifications and facilitating structured walkthroughs with business and project teams. The analyst will design and develop a range of reports—canned, custom, and ad-hoc—specifically for Commercial Mortgage Loans, supporting various functions such as origination, underwriting, asset management, accounting, and servicing. Utilizing BI tools like SSRS, custom SQL queries, Power Queries, and Power Pivots will be essential for this task. The analyst will also create and develop dashboards in Tableau and Power BI to provide valuable insights to the real estate and investment teams. Analyzing and extracting data related to Commercial Mortgage Loans will be a key responsibility, as the analyst will provide insights on key performance metrics, trends, data audits, and portfolio management analytics. Furthermore, the analyst will develop test plans for reporting requests in accordance with standard Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and maintain report documentation, managing report migration across various environments using deployment tools. Training real estate business users on the Commercial Mortgage Loan Reporting system will be another important aspect of this role, facilitating a self-service reporting model. The analyst will also contribute to special projects by offering data analytics and data modeling support to real estate business users. Assessing current data usage within the Commercial Mortgage Loan system and implementing performance improvements will require close coordination with IT investment teams to address any necessary data clean-up. The role may also involve performing additional tasks as required, making it a dynamic and integral part of the Real Estate Investments team.
