About the position

The Business Intelligence Analyst role at Tesla focuses on enabling a data-driven business by generating insights from data. The analyst will support operations, engineering, and product teams by developing dashboards and reports, analyzing data, and communicating findings to stakeholders. This position is crucial for understanding business performance and identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track business metrics.
• Work on various data-driven projects including data analysis, modeling, forecasting, and reporting.
• Collaborate with the Business Analytics and Data Engineering teams to gather, clean, and analyze data from various sources using SQL, Tableau and other data analysis tools.
• Develop a deep understanding of the business, industry and market trends.
• Identify areas of opportunity for process improvement and optimization using data insights.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to team members and business stakeholders.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed.
• Communicate effectively with leaders to identify and address areas for improvement.
• Act as a database and system expert, providing support to users on related applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in related field (Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business) or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in Analytics.
• Strong experience with SQL, Tableau and/or any other visualization tools.
• Experience with Python or other programming language is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Database Management concepts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience analyzing data sets and providing insights and clear recommendations based on findings.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
