As a Business Intelligence Analyst at Booz Allen, you will play a crucial role in helping organizations harness data to address emerging challenges in today's digital landscape. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to grow their consulting skills and industry knowledge, particularly in developing solutions for our Department of Defense clients. You will be part of a supportive team that encourages the introduction of new ideas, providing deep visibility and insights into data-driven decision-making processes. In this role, you will consult on the use of business intelligence data for predictive analytics and facilitate the implementation of new tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, and PowerApps. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing Executive Dashboards in Power BI, which includes updating existing dashboards and serving as a workspace Administrator. Your work will involve administering quantitative and qualitative modeling techniques to data through advanced data visualization and management practices. You will apply analytical best practices for data collection, aggregation, normalization, and analysis, contributing to the development of models and report templates while creating dynamic, data-driven solutions using Power BI, SQL, and other relevant technologies. Additionally, you will recommend and implement appropriate performance measures, including lifts, efficiencies, confidence intervals, and other statistical metrics. Providing guidance to clients and team members will be a key aspect of your role, as you will deliver detailed, actionable reports documenting findings from data processing and analysis for various business systems and external customers across the enterprise. Responsibilities

  • Consult on using business intelligence data for predictive analytics and facilitate the implementation of new tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, and PowerApps.
  • Maintain and develop Executive Dashboards in Power BI, including updating existing dashboards and serving as a workspace Administrator.
  • Administer quantitative and qualitative modeling techniques to data through advanced data visualization and data management practices.
  • Apply analytical best practices for data collection, aggregation, normalization, and analysis.
  • Analyze and process data, contributing to the development of models and report templates, and developing dynamic, data-driven solutions using Power BI, SQL, and other relevant technologies.
  • Recommend and implement appropriate performance measures to be produced, including lifts, efficiencies, confidence intervals, and other statistical metrics.
  • Provide guidance to clients and fellow team members.
  • Provide business clients with detailed, actionable reports documenting the findings from data processing and data analysis for manpower, logistics, and business systems and external customers across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with Data Science in a professional work environment.
  • Experience applying data management, data analysis, and data visualization.
  • Experience with Power BI.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and database management systems.
  • Ability to design multiple data visualization techniques and apply the most appropriate visualization tailored to various audiences.
  • Ability to present complex data findings simply and understandably to non-technical audiences.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with PEO MLB, PEO Digital, NIWC PAC, NIWC LANT, or NAVWAR.
  • Experience in crafting custom M365 tools and capabilities such as Power Automate flows, PowerApps within M365, and ancillary services on Azure, to meet PEO MLB requirements.
  • Experience with specialized project management support in a Navy acquisition program or project management support with Department of Defense (DoD) agencies.
  • Knowledge of business processes.
  • Ability to align data analysis with business goals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and multiple business stakeholders.
  • Ability to stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in data visualization and analytics.
