About the position

The Business Intelligence Analyst role at PayPal involves leading the development of dashboards that support decision-making processes and strategic initiatives within the Office of the CTO. The ideal candidate will leverage strong analytical skills and data visualization expertise to translate complex data into actionable insights, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet the data needs of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements through interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand data needs.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau and Power BI.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends and insights that inform business decisions.
• Develop and document detailed business rules and data models for dashboard projects.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leaders clearly and concisely.
• Provide training and support to end-users on dashboard utilization, including creating user guides and conducting training sessions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in business and/or data analysis.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation.
• Experience in database schema design is preferred.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python is preferred.
• Competency in Excel, including macros and pivot tables.
• Extensive experience in developing and managing Tableau-driven dashboards and analytics.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Power Query and Power Pivot.
• A degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
