The Business Intelligence Analyst position at FleishmanHillard's Method+Mastery team involves supporting Fortune 50 clients by analyzing and synthesizing data from various media sources to provide actionable insights and recommendations. The role emphasizes collaboration in a hybrid work environment, focusing on social media and analytics to enhance marketing and communications efforts. Responsibilities

  • Support the Intelligence and Analytics team in analyzing data from social, news, podcasts, and other media sources.
  • Work under senior analysts' guidance to recommend social and digital strategies and ensure implementation.
  • Collect and synthesize data from various digital sources.
  • Identify trends and insights by connecting the dots in the data.
  • Conduct analysis using social and news listening tools, audience intelligence tools, and owned analytics tools.
  • Assist in developing client KPIs and spreadsheet scorecards.
  • Provide strategy and recommendations based on cultural moments.
  • Support the team with monthly and yearly updates to internal teams and clients.
  • Research and synthesize trends across industries, platforms, and audiences.
  • Liaise with client service teams to provide tangible recommendations.
  • Collaborate with clients, vendors, creative staff, and operations.
  • Stay current with social and digital measurement trends.

Requirements

  • 1-3+ years of experience in social media and/or analytics, including writing recaps, summaries, or trend reports.
  • Analytical mindset with a willingness to learn and support data analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in interpreting social and digital data from software packages and client databases.
  • Ability to turn data into stories and present findings effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting campaign performance.
  • Passion for news, culture, and online audience trends.
  • Strong organization, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to identify actionable insights from complex data.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in distilling complex data into simple KPIs and visualizations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with real-time listening for engagement.
  • Familiarity with Google suite of tools (Google Sheets, Google Data Studio, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Experience with Google Analytics or other web analytics tools.
  • Experience executing social media listening programs and delivering reports.
  • Experience with market research and consumer profiling tools such as YouGov, MRI Simmons, or Iconoculture.
