About the position

The Business Intelligence Analyst position at CHAS Health is designed to enhance the overall health of the communities served by leveraging financial, operational, and clinical data. The analyst will provide comprehensive analysis and recommendations to service line leaders, assisting in the assessment of the quality of care and services provided by CHAS Health. This role involves extracting data from various software programs to design, construct, and analyze reports and dashboards tailored to the organization's needs. The analyst will maintain relationships with business partners to offer proactive solutions and ensure that data needs are met effectively. In addition to data extraction and report generation, the analyst will assist in maintaining the finance and business intelligence data warehouse and reporting suite. This includes validating source data and end-user reports, participating in collaborative projects, and making recommendations based on ongoing data analysis. The role also involves training new employees on how to utilize existing reports and dashboards, ensuring that all team members are equipped to leverage data effectively in their roles. The analyst will perform other duties as assigned, supporting the mission and core values of CHAS Health. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of experience working with end users to translate requirements into effective dashboard designs. Proficiency in Tableau and Excel is essential, along with a working knowledge of analytic/report writing and data gathering in Microsoft SQL, SSAS, and SSIS. Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills are critical, as is a commitment to quality and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Extract data from various software programs to design, construct, and analyze reports and dashboards based on organizational needs.
  • Maintain relationships with business partners to offer proactive solutions and ensure data needs are met.
  • Assist in maintaining finance and business intelligence data warehouse and reporting suite.
  • Validate source data and end-user reports.
  • Participate in CHAS Health collaborative and other special project teams as necessary and/or requested.
  • Make recommendations and report findings to management and other staff based on continuing analysis of data.
  • Assist in researching and creating new reporting solutions.
  • Train new employees on how to use existing reports and dashboards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting the CHAS Health Mission and Core Values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field preferred.
  • Combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 3 years' experience working with end users, translating requirements into designing dashboards that address service line needs or questions.
  • Background in user experience, data visualization, and information delivery best practices.
  • Tableau experience and proficiency in Excel required.
  • Experience and a working knowledge of analytic/report writing and data gathering in Microsoft SQL, SSAS, and SSIS preferred.
  • Strong problem solving, communication and customer service skills, as well as commitment to quality required.
  • Ability to self-direct and determine priorities required.
