About the position

The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for developing analytical tools and reports that support the decision-making process within the organization. This role requires proficiency in Microsoft BI development tools and the ability to extract and analyze data from various sources to create insightful reports for the executive team.

Responsibilities

• Discover and translate analytical trends within data to team members in Business Operations.
• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.
• Create and peer review basic to advanced SQL queries, with a focus on improving capabilities.
• Listen to business needs and convert them into business requirements with minimal direction.
• Create new SSRS or Power BI reports based on collected requirements.
• Understand project plans and convert requirements into actionable plans.
• Maintain existing solutions while seeking opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with team members to consolidate the data landscape, reducing development time and increasing consistency among BI solutions.
• Track, monitor, and communicate changes in reporting platforms and data sources to larger BI and IT teams.
• Mentor junior BI analysts on the team.
• Participate actively in team meetings and provide valuable insights.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience using SQL.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform.
• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting stored procedures and other TSQL code.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Microsoft Stack (SQL, SSRS).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Experience with Power Automate.
• Experience with Power BI or similar front-end BI tools.
