Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal business and operational teams to identify data-driven business opportunities.
  • Work with our corporate data teams to make datasets from different sources widely accessible for business use, promoting a data-driven culture.
  • Utilize tools such as Alteryx to process and transform large volumes of structured and unstructured data, creating valuable dataset views.
  • Develop new work processes to enhance data quality and availability objectives.
  • Generate actionable insights and aid decision-making through the creation of Business Intelligence reports using tools like PowerBI or Tableau.
  • Collaborate with our IT/DT network teams to advance data pipeline and automation strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science/data analytics, business, statistics, mathematics, engineering or 3+ years relevant experience
  • Proficiency with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate), Tableau, or Alteryx, Power Query Formula M, DAX
  • Experience in solution development, stakeholder communication, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong economic thinking skills and business acumen.
  • Ability to design intuitive data visualizations that meet customer needs.
  • Self-motivation and a drive to create innovative solutions and see them applied.
  • Ability to connect technology solutions to measurable business outcomes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a petroleum refinery or chemical manufacturing facility.
  • Experience with PI Vision or Seeq
  • Advanced knowledge of financial or ERP systems and databases.
  • Experience within data programming languages like R, Python, SQL, Cypher, or API integration with a desire to grow in these areas.
