About the position

Rotech Healthcare Inc. is seeking a dedicated Business Intelligence Analyst to support finance and operational service lines by developing and maintaining reports, scorecards, and dashboards. This role involves analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data, synthesizing results into meaningful presentations, and ensuring the accuracy of data provided to management. The analyst will be expected to develop a robust understanding of the business area they support and maintain respectful, collaborative relationships across the organization. The essential duties include creating, editing, and maintaining financial and operational reports by leveraging system tools. The analyst will collaborate with finance and operations to develop performance measurement processes, which include database development, KPI creation, reports, and dashboard deployment. Managing complex datasets by aggregating, cleaning, and validating data from multiple sources is a key responsibility. Regular engagement with leadership and staff is necessary to discuss existing data products, assess unmet needs, and identify enhancements. The analyst will also work with the analytic team to develop and cross-train on analytic products, including regular data mining and report automation. Additionally, the analyst will design, develop, and maintain reports, scorecards, and dashboards that provide organizational insights, preparing and presenting data on a daily, weekly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Overseeing the accuracy of reporting and analyzed data provided to management is crucial, as is understanding the roles and responsibilities of Data Analysts across departments. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and maintain financial and operational reports by leveraging system tools.

  • Engage regularly with leadership and staff to discuss existing data products, assess unmet needs, and identify enhancements.
  • Work with the analytic team to develop and cross-train on analytic products, including regular data mining and report automation.
  • Design, develop, and maintain reports, scorecards, and dashboards that provide organizational insights.
  • Prepare and present data on a daily, weekly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Oversee the accuracy of reporting and analyzed data provided to management.
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of Data Analysts across departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant professional experience in a related field such as Business, health care, engineering, information systems, finance, statistics or mathematics discipline, or Master's degree with 1+ year of relevant professional experience in a related field.
  • Professional experience with reporting and systems software (IBM Cognos preferred), Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Lists; Access preferred), SQL (Snowflake preferred), and Tableau (or Power BI).
  • Certification in quality improvement, business analytics, business intelligence, or data science is preferred.
  • Ability to author, present, and explain technical information to diverse types of audiences.
  • Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written.
  • Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual).
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information.
  • Multi-task along with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
